A Rare Gift  / Hector Wheeler (Co-worker/Friend)
Kenton made me laugh through my frustrations.
He taught me:
  • to give more and more of self
  • to serve instead of being served
  • to love without expectation
I always knew there was something different about him!  Now it is becoming clearer to me.  He was a gift sent from God for a while.

I am sad to see him go but happy that I was privileged to meet him.
I missed a friend but gained insights into abundant living. Close

Kenton I should have told you this the last in we greeted each other in FELS car park. You gave new meaning to the terms "Professionalism"and "Service". You served with a difference. You are gone too soon. I'll miss your smiling face.Mei the LORD strengthen & sustain your loved ones. Close

Tribute to Kenton  / Cheryll Messam (Colleague)

Our Civil War which sparked in Western Kingston and Kenton's death happened almost simultaneously. Personally it was learning of Kenton's passing which became more overwhelming of the two events.

Kenton holds the distinction of being among the very few persons at work who consistently provides excellent customer service to internal customers. When you call to make a request for audio-visual support you can rely on the ...fact...that your call will be received in a welcoming way and that Kenton will ensure that the service is delivered as discussed.

Kenton struck me as a man that was himself. Happily that self was pleasant accessible and professional. Kenton was a man I was happy to "hail up" even at a distance. A well needed momentary joy and uplifting encounter at work

Kenton's passing is a loss to the force of "goodwill" desperately needed at work in Jamaica and in our world.

I hope to see him again at The Ressurection.

"Call Kenton" those were words I would often hear over the almost 9 years I have been at UTech when any audiovisual request was pending.  What a pleasure it was to be provided with superior service accompanied by a warm smile & humility at its very best.  Kenton you taught us what it means to serve.  Mei your soul rest in peace.

A Great Man  / Nova Gordon-Bell (Co-worker)
In the sixteen years I knew Kenton I was always impressed by his talent his humility patience and good humour. We are poorer for having lost Kenton. He was the embodiment of "service with a smile." Kenton made us feel that he was happy to help and"No that's not a problem. I'll check on that for you." The loss we all feel is immeasurable.Students and lecturers in the Communication Arts and Technology Programme at UTech Jamaica will miss him. A great man has left us. Close
